Little Life Lessons #1

Long ago, "discomfort" married "growth" and now the two are inseparable.

You know what’s important. It sticks out in life like a bullseye. So head straight for itavoiding the guilty dissatisfaction of the meandering path. Tomorrow's not the answer. Today is the day to clear those gutters. Exercise. Register the kids. Volunteer. Do your taxes early. Study. Read with the kids. Pray. Date your spouse. Invest. Stretch yourself toward those important things that you clearly see jutting out on the horizon. Overcome the discomfort, knowing that it will pass and your fulfilled sense of accomplishment will linger in its place. Be energized by the growth that will follow.

Put first things, first.
